Minecraft Movie OST - Original Soundtrack List with 25 songs

Minecraft Movie OST: With a budget of $150 million, officially released worldwide on April 2, 2025 by Warner Bros, the movie is a live-action adaptation based on the iconic game by Swedish studio Mojang.

Today we take a closer look at the incredible soundtrack that runs through the entire film.

🎸 A Soundtrack Full of Rock'n'Roll

The OST contains 25 songs and opens with the high-energy rock track I Feel Alive, performed by the well-known Jack Black — famous for School of Rock, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, and Kung Fu Panda.

The entire film carries that same rock energy throughout, making the soundtrack as entertaining as the movie itself.

As a fun fact: released in 2011, Minecraft is considered the best-selling game of all time with over 300 million copies sold, surpassing both Tetris and GTA V.

🎤 Jack Black, Jason Momoa and a 45-Second Surprise

The Official Soundtrack also features a surprise appearance by Jason Momoa on track 8. Birthday Rap, a collaboration between Jack Black and Jason Momoa, lasts only 45 seconds but brings a completely different feel to the album — a groovy American Soul vibe with a dancing saxophone.

🎹 Mark Mothersbaugh and the Score

After the opening tracks, the remainder of the soundtrack is led by legendary musician Mark Mothersbaugh — co-founder, keyboardist and vocalist of the American New Wave band Devo.

You may know the band from their classic Whip It, which also appears in the Stranger Things official soundtrack.
